Fall Garden Harvest with Julie Peachtree

Join Herbalist and School Garden Coordinator in the garden as we enjoy the bounty of the year while preparing the winter garden. Harvest the garden abundance to take home and preserve for the winter months. We will discuss the medicinal plants in the garden and a few simple ways to preserve the healing properties long after the garden has been put to bed. Tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own if you'd like. Bring bags, baskets, jars, whatever you have to bring home your goodies.

Class will be held at the La Familia/ The Family Center front gardens. Meet at the picnic table under the apple tree at 309 Hickory St. Bear left when entering the parking lot, following signs for La Familia/ The Family Center. Ample free parking. Biking encouraged: turn right when the bike path meets Hickory and immediately right into the parking lot, bear left towards La Familia/ The Family Center. Bike racks available.

Accessibility: Class will be conducted in English. Must be able to walk on uneven ground (mulched pathways, dirt road), walk short distances,  and climb a few steps. Private bathrooms available. Bring water and anything else you will need to be comfortable outside for the duration of the class.
